Summer of Fun Friday Night Concert Series...

Summer will soon be here. Every other Friday in June and July enjoy the talent of Kansas City at the Summer of Fun Friday Night Concert Series. Enjoy the local talent from around the city.

Do you want to perform?

Any groups wishing to audition must participate in the Paradise Park Emerging Artists Friday Night Concert Series.  Your performance in one of our (4) Friday night concerts may earn you entrance into the Strotherfest 2010 Emerging Artists Competition.

All entries must be received no later than May 21, 2010

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
• Each band must report to the stage manager 30 minutes prior to their scheduled time. You will be notified after May 21 of your first performance date.
• Each band will plan to perform for 30 minutes.
• Each member of the band must be over the age of (16) or accompanied by a guardian over the age of (21).
• Each band will have a total of 15 minutes prior and 15 minutes following their play time to set-up and break down.
• A new band may perform every 30 minutes.
• Music must be appropriate for family entertainment and you must submit your lyrics for approval when registering your group on-line.
• No profanity or lewdness.
• Clothing must be appropriate for family entertainment.
• Audio and lighting will be provided.
• Scoring will be based on originality, presentation and audience participation. Judges decisions are final.
• Paradise Park is not responsible for any lost or damaged equipment.
• Bands will be scheduled to “audition” in front of a live audience on one of the following nights: Friday; June 4, June 18, July 2 and July 16, 2010, in order to compete in the 2010 Paradise Park Strotherfest Battle of the Summer Bands to be held on Friday; August 30, 2010. The bands making it through the audition process will need to submit their non-refundable $25.00 competition fee to Paradise Park the night of their audition in order to compete at the 2010 Paradise Park Strotherfest Battle of the Bands, Friday; August 30, 2010. All bands making it through to the competition will be notified after July 16th of their approximate scheduled performance and set-up time.
• The first and second place bands of the Paradise Park Strotherfest competition will be awarded prizes.
• The first place band will perform again the following night, Saturday; August 31, 2010.

You will be required to bring (to your audition) a completed Paradise Park Media release form for every person playing in the band or any roadies that may be assisting with the set-up or tear down of your equipment, along with any additional persons associated with the band.
